Twenty-five individuals graduated from Leadership Contra Costasm, the Bay Area’s premier leadership program on Thursday May 7, 2015 at the Boundary Oak Clubhouse in Walnut Creek. The graduation ceremonies marked the culmination of an eight-month comprehensive program designed to identify and prepare potential community leaders. The Walnut Creek Chamber of Commerce & Visitors Bureau sponsored its first Leadership class twenty-eight years ago and has since graduated nearly 700 individuals from the program.  The curriculum includes presentations and workshops from community leaders about critical issues facing the community.  

Leadership Contra Costasm accepts 25–30 individuals from diverse backgrounds to participate in the program. Leadership Contra Costasm is geared towards people who want to make a difference in the communities in which they live and work; spaces fill quickly.

34th Annual Walnut Creek Art & Wine Festival

2015 Art & Wine Festival

The Walnut Creek Chamber of Commerce celebrated the 34th anniversary of the Walnut Creek Art & Wine Festival this Saturday, May 30 and Sunday, May 31. Thank you to everyone who attended; it was a great event, and even the sun came out to see what was happening!

Art & Wine 2015 featured top-quality, non-stop local and Bay Area music and entertainment on two stages for the entire family, hand-made crafts and works of art from more than 200 artisans, award-winning local and regional wines and microbrews, festival food, Premium Wine Tent, Craft Beer Garden, the crazy Grape Stomp Competition, the delightful Festival Train, and the Children’s Area.
