Maria Shriver is a mother of four, an Emmy and Peabody award-winning journalist, a seven-time New York Times best-selling author, an NBC News Special Anchor, the founder of Shriver Media, and co-founder of the mission driven brain health and wellness brand, MOSH. She also founded the Women’s Alzheimer’s Movement (WAM,) which in February 2022 joined forces with the Cleveland Clinic to become WAM at Cleveland Clinic, where Shriver now also serves as a Strategic Partner for Women’s Health and Alzheimer’s.

A trailblazer for empowering women, Shriver uses her voice and her platforms to advance some of our nation’s most pressing issues affecting women and women’s health. In 2010, she broke new ground when, in partnership with the Alzheimer’s Association, The Shriver Report: A Woman’s Nation Takes on Alzheimer’s reported for the first time ever that women are at an increased risk for the disease. She also worked tirelessly on behalf of women and families, particularly those living on the brink of poverty, during her time as First Lady of California from 2003-2010.

Shriver’s life and career are driven by her fervent belief that everyone has the ability to be an “Architect of Change” and make the world a better place. Her media company Shriver Media, and its newsletter The Sunday Paper, seek to inspire hearts and minds and elevate the voices of others who are moving humanity forward as well. Shriver’s latest books, New York Times bestseller I’ve Been Thinking and its companion I’ve Been Thinking…The Journal offer wisdom, guidance, encouragement, and inspiration for those seeking to create a meaningful life of their own.

Bio

Laura Ling is an award-winning journalist and author. She most recently hosted the Discovery mini-documentary series, The Power of Kindness that looks at the scientific roots and benefits of being kind. She hosts Everyday Bravery, a podcast about overcoming life’s biggest challenges.

As the Director of Development for Discovery Communications’ digital network, Seeker, she oversaw the creation and production of original web series that have amassed hundreds of millions of views online. Ling is the host of Conquered on Z Living Network, a series that profiles awe-inspiring people who have broken boundaries to achieve their goals. She has also hosted two documentary series airing on the E! Network: E! Investigates and Society X with Laura Ling. The shows investigate topics such as teen suicide, the challenges faced by military spouses, and underground youth subcultures in America.

Prior to joining E! Ling served as Vice President of Current TV’s journalism department and created Vanguard, the network’s weekly investigative documentary series. As Vanguard correspondent, she traveled the world to report on subjects including slave labor in the Amazon, the drug war in Mexico, Internet censorship in China, and women’s rights in Turkey. Under her leadership, Vanguard received numerous prestigious awards including the Alfred I. DuPont Award and several Emmy nominations.

In March 2009, while reporting on the trafficking of North Korean women, Ling and her colleague Euna Lee were detained by North Korean soldiers along the Chinese-North Korean border. The two journalists were arrested and held captive in North Korea for 140 days before being granted a special pardon and returning to the United States. She documented her experience in the 2010 memoir, Somewhere Inside: One Sister’s Captivity in North Korea and the Other’s Fight to Bring Her Home, that she penned with her sister, Lisa.

As a correspondent for SoCal Connected, the hard-hitting news magazine series airing on KCET, Ling’s work was recognized with both an Emmy and a national Edward R. Murrow award. Ling has served as a producer for Channel One News and co-created Breaking it Down, a documentary series on MTV that aired between 1999 and 2001. Her work has appeared on ABC’s Nightline, NBC, and PBS. She has also written editorials for the Los Angeles Times and CNN.com.

Ling was named one of Glamour Magazine’s Women of the Year in 2009. She is a Service Ambassador for Points of Light, the nonpartisan organization dedicated to solving social problems through voluntary service. She resides in Mill Valley, California with her husband and two children.

Jill has helped launch numerous consumer product companies and ventures focused on “doing well by doing good.” Previously the co-founder and director of California-based winery group GoldLine Brands, Jill founded a digital winery, Teneral Cellars, in 2020. Teneral Cellars is driven by Jill’s belief that wine can be a conduit for change; a force for gender equity and social justice within the wine industry and our culture at large.

Micheal joined Alzheimer’s Services of the East Bay (ASEB) in 1997 and served as a Program Director and Director of Development before becoming Executive Director in 2008. With a bachelor’s degree in Marketing from New Hampshire College and course work in City Planning and Urban Affairs at Boston University, Micheal has more than 24 years of experience in health care management, with an emphasis on marketing. Micheal is an award-winning Podcast host of “Life is a Sacred Journey”. Micheal believes that everyone must contribute if a change is to come about. Serving on the board and staff of ASEB is one of the greatest highlights of her life, an honor that brings meaning to her every day.

She also is a partner in a health and wellness company, Contra Costa Fitness. Rebecca spent the early part of her career in Sales & Marketing in the Insurance Industry and quickly learned the value of Relationship Marketing and Networking. She quickly grew her business via referrals and climbed the ranks of her company, all without the need for cold calling. In 2015, Rebecca began Rebecca’s Vault as a side hustle and officially incorporated her business in 2018. Leaving her safety net/day job in sales at the beginning of 2019 to focus on Rebecca’s Vault full time, she was able to launch her business with success in her very first year, despite the global pandemic, all while providing extensive in-home care for an ill parent.
