State of the Chamber April 12

Outgoing Chamber Chair Margot Stanford passed the gavel to incoming Chair Ed Del Beccaro at the State of the Chamber event held at Boundary Oak last week.

Before passing the gavel, Chair Margot Stanford provided a review of the past year of reimagining the Chamber, which included updating the mission, vision, and values of the organization, taking a new approach to partnering with other organizations, our relationship with government, and our role in advocacy. The prevailing themes that will continue into 2025 include fostering a climate for business to operate profitably, rising above our competing interests, economic and business development, and forming coalitions for a better Walnut Creek. Incoming Chair Del Beccaro shared his strategic areas of focus will be to increase the visibility and influence of the Chamber, create an environment where Walnut Creek businesses can thrive, create partnerships to help attract innovative businesses to this region, and create world-class innovation hubs in the region.
