Chamber member Yours Humanly (www.YoursHumanly.org) recently received a generous grant from the Lafayette Rotary Club to fund back-to-school backpacks and school supplies for 200 children in need in Concord. Executive Director Sunny Singh and representatives from Yours Humanly accepted the "big check" from Rotary members at a ceremony held August 10, 2017. Yours Humanly's mission is to empower underprivileged children in underserved communities by providing access to quality education; and to instill in them confidence and self-esteem to achieve better, brighter futures.

“We believe education is a basic human right, and that every child everywhere should be afforded that right in a safe and nurturing environment," says Singh. "We greatly appreciate the commitment from Lafayette Rotary—this gift has made a major impact on our outreach and on the lives of children in the area.”

“Education programs are a major emphasis of the Lafayette Rotary," says Larry Blodgett, president of the Lafayette Rotary Club. "So we are delighted to partner with Sunny and the Yours Humanly organization to support children in our community and help them get the education they deserve."
